Umpiring is another way you can get more involved in the game of netball and connect to the netball community.
Umpires officiate the rules of the game, ensuring fair play.
It offers a pathway to remain in the sport while teaching you great life skills such as communication, resilience and leadership.
Many of our umpires beginning as HATs (Have a Try Umpires) move on to becoming Team Umpires and then to Panel (Badged) Umpires.
Netball Victoria’s website has links for the Umpire Theory Netball Exam
and once you have some experience in umpiring, a link to the Foundation Umpire Course, which is to be completed.
If you are currently in Secondary College or beyond and are interested in umpiring,
send an email to [email protected] and the information will be forwarded to the Hi-Lites Umpire Co-ordinator.
There is a waiting list, and you will be contacted when a place becomes available.
